Pochi chilometri ed un fiume da traghettare separano il villaggio di Anegundi dalla famosa città di Hampi, ma tanto basta da rendere questo villaggio un luogo incontaminato, perso nel tempo. I ritmi di vita degli abitanti sembrano identificarsi con il lento fluire del maestoso fiume che lambisce il villaggio.

Sacro e profano insieme come in altre città sacre. E’ una sensazione indefinibile che avvolge e affascina.
Bramini bianchi e arancioni, seriosi e panciuti che corrono freneticamente da un tempio all’altro per fare le “puja” chiedendo in cambio rupie.
Gli imponenti carri sacri in legno scolpiti che stazionano nel centro della città in attesa del festival dedicato a Shiva.

They come from everywhere, in any way, carrying everything. The full moon of Yellamma refers millions of Pilgrims to Saundatti, a small village in Karnataka.
